2026 marks the 40th anniversary of indie legends The Wonder Stuff.
Over four decades since the band’s very first rehearsal in the heart of The Black Country, The Wonder Stuff really has had an amazing journey so far, selling millions of albums worldwide and continuing to record and tour internationally.
Having inspired a myriad of artists they have remained at the top of their game and play with a passion and an attitude that has set them apart from most of their contemporaries.
Since the release of their classic debut album, The Eight Legged Groove Machine, in 1988, through to their 2019 album Better Being Lucky, the band have exhibited original, brilliant songwriting, thought-provoking lyrics and a sound that is completely their own.
Alongside frontman Miles Hunt on guitar and vocals is the band’s only other surviving original member Malcolm Treece on guitar, the longest standing fiddle player Erica Nockalls, Mark Gemini-Thwaite (The Mission, Tricky, Theatre of Hate) on guitar, Tim Sewell on bass and Pete Howard (The Clash, Queen Adreena, EAT) on drums.
